"YES, SIR" Students

PUBLIC OPINION - At a lecture, Guidance and Counseling, Monday (03/07), Mr Clarry Sada, M.Pd. describe a role of students in education. He stated that students need to be critical, creative, and active. But in reality, most of the students in FKIP do not have these three things. In fact, to be active in college activities are also very difficult.

Being active in class does not mean that the student will be talkative and chatty. Active in the classroom indicates that the person is critical and creative. Students can pour their ideas and opinions each way to be active in class, dare to speak.

Encountered in NR2 room, Mr Clarry Sada, M.Pd. commented that students now are “YES, SIR” students. The purpose of his speech is that students know only answered "YES, SIR" when the professor asked. There are no specific answers, which can be given by students in answering questions lecturers. The situation is very sad that this is not helpful at all in the development of education in college.

In addition,Mr Clarry Sada also said that students today are still the same attitude in the classroom activities with their attitude when they first went to college. It is a concern of Clarry Sada was also a concern of other professors. The same response given to the students of FKIP Untan, English Study Program, that they were not good students if they go silent and inactive in the study.
