Scholarship to Korea, Who Want?

JAKARTA - The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) University Network (AUN) in cooperation with Daejeon University (UDJ) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea launched the ASEAN Leaders Millennium College Student Exchange Program.

 Program of cooperation between Korea with ASEAN countries are offering full scholarships that cover, tuition fees, living expenses, food and shelter, and accommodation (round-trip ticket).

The scholarships are intended for 30 students from ASEAN countries who are interested in studying Social Science and Information Communication and Technology in UDJ, Korea for the 2011-2012 academic year 1 September 2011 will go ahead.

You do not have to worry will experience difficulty in language teaching and learning activities because of the language used is English because the program is an international scale.

The program also offers opportunities for two-month internship at leading organizations in Korea, such as the United Nations-Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN APCICT), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Korea-ASEAN Center, Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (Kins), Korea Nuclear International Cooperation Foundation (KONICOF), Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, and so forth.

The following requirements should you consider when you apply for this scholarship program:
1. You are one of the citizens of ASEAN countries and enrolled as a student at a college.
2. A student majoring in Information Technology (IT), such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science and various other majors related to IT.
3. A student majoring in Social Sciences (including, Business Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations) and Korean.
4. You must have a good record is in the top 10 in class.
5. Having good English language skills in spoken and written.
6. And have good health records as well.

For those of you who are interested to register, please go to the International Relations office on campus before the date of July 11, 2011 to obtain an application for registration if the application is sent individually will not be accepted.

Once the application is complete it will be submitted to the Office of the AUN Secretariat through the Office of International Relations who is on campus. Do not forget, you must send a copy of the completed application by post to the UDJ.
